Rebates & Low Flow Compliance

There are some parts in the Metro Area that are going green. What does this mean you ask? It means they want you to help conserve our resources. For example, if you are buying an older home in Dekalb County they are requiring that you change out any toilet in your home if it was made before 1993. They also are requiring that you change all of your shower heads to Low Flow units.

Your county may require a compliance form to be filled out by a qualified person, such as a Master Plumber, before water service can be turned on at the residence or business. As of now, we know that Dekalb County does require this form. The Plumbing Detectives charge the lowest rate for this inspection form. Most companies charge $200.00 or more, we charge $75.00! This keeps more of your money where it belongs, in your pocket!

Dekalb County Compliance Form

There is good news about going green, yes it DOES involve money (got your attention didn't I ?). By going green and installing water saving fixtures, you not only reduce your carbon footprint, you save on your water bill and to boot, Dekalb County offers REBATES for you to do so! There really is no reason for you to not take advantage of this free money. If you don't live in Dekalb, why not check with your county's water authority and see if they offer something similar, a lot of them are jumping on board. If your toilet was made before 1993 you can retro fit a water saving toilet that is approved by Dekalb County and get anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00 rebate PER toilet (up to 3) in your house! You can find out the age of your toilet by lifting the tank lid and you'll see a date either in the tank itself above the water level or on the inside part of the lid
